Professional coaching can consist of individual coaching for advice on work-related issues, and/or through an organisation to coach its employees in-house.
Professional coaching looks at identifying core competencies and interests, improving motivation amongst individuals and teams, developing better leadership/management skills, managing relationships with peers & superiors, reviewing career path options, addressing work/life balance, improving interpersonal communication, developing better presentation skills, managing stress and dealing with conflict in the workplace.
Regardless of the setting, the coaching skills used don’t really change. The emphasis is focused primarily on work-related issues. The individual's experiences and approach to life will determine how they are performing at work and how they feel about their work life.
